A brief history of Bsha3

Originally launched Saturday Oct 20 2018, Bsha3 was the first blockchain to implement the sha3d (SHA3-256) algorithm.

This was very unique at the time and offered not only upgraded security options but a low energy usage mining algorithm.

The original bsha3 chain was using the 2016 difficulty block adjustment. At block 20,418 the blockchain became difficulty locked and was unable with the hardware at the time to break this lock. A hard fork with the new LWMA 3 difficulty algorithm was implemented and the new version of the chain restarted.

During the restart the original developer was no longer providing updates and the project became soley a community driven project.

Where is Bsha3 today

Currently the project is headed to the graveyard. After the community took over the project at stuck block 20,418 development slowed and the wider community lost interest in the project.

At the time of writing the block explorer was offline, no known nodes where active and all mining pools had dropped the project.

Why RedBlock now!

The original project was a great project and had some great ideas, a great community and tech behind it. With the original chain headed to the graveyard, our team feels now is the time to continue what was started, expand its capabilities and developed an honest community driven project that can lead in the Sha3d space.
